420/300 League :

WINTER
            We run a 420/300 League in the winter starting in January. Consult our calendar for the actual schedule. The 420/300 is available on Thursday evening and on Saturday afternoon. This winter league runs for 14 weeks and the cost is $10.00 per week. We want the first half of the money ($70) up front and the balance due by the fifth week of the league. The scoring rings are all the same size on the NFAA 300 target and the Creekwood 420 target except for the "X" ring, which is smaller on the 420 target.  To achieve the score of 420 we count "X's" as 6 points and "Inside X's" as 7 points. The same total number of arrows are shot for each game. On the 420 target you count your score Plus all the X's including Inside "IX's" Plus all the "IX's"
                Both are handicapped leagues so anyone has a fair chance of winning. You may shoot either a single blue face or a five spot target in either league, your choice. All scores and standings are maintained by Creekwood along with some NEW Top Shooter Boards we have made up.
                The league can be shot on Thursday or Saturday afternoon. We have to many spot shooters to shoot all one night. Because you can switch from Thursday to Saturday or visa versa. The Thursday night league will be shot as two lines  (meaning upper & lower targets - 30 people max). The Saturday afternoon league will be shot as a single line (meaning either upper or lower targets - 15 people max) and therefore doesn't take as long to shoot it. Also the Saturday league has to shoot 14 scores in 13 weeks that we are open, so we are opening quite a few Sundays for people to do make-ups. At the end of the league there is a party with trophies etc.
                All levels of shooters compete in these leagues, from State Champions down to hunters who want to keep there skill level up to snuff. When your in a league at Creekwood, you shoot 1/2 price, $4.00 per hour instead of $8.00 per hour for all your practice time. This is a great advantage of being in a league.
                Make-Ups must be scheduled in advance so we can have someone here to score you unless you are doing the make-up with someone else in the league. In that case no arrangements are necessary. The only time you can't do a make-up is when it would interfere with another function going on at Creekwood.

                If you pre-pay your league in full, your half-price practice indoor range time will  start at the time of payment. If you are shooting multiple leagues, you will receive a 10% discount on your 2nd or 3rd league.

SPRING, SUMMER & FALL 2009

                During spring, summer and fall 420/300 Non-Trophy Leagues on Thursday nights are run for 10 weeks each. Check or calendar for the actual dates. It is $8.00 per week and there are two ways of doing it.
                The first way is to pay for your league up front ($80.00) and then your practice time at Creekwood is half price, $4.00 per hour instead of $8.00, indoors & outdoors. All our league shooters practice at 1/2 price in our indoor and outdoor practice ranges.
                The second way is you just pay $8.00 per week, when you come each week and your practice time at Creekwood is then $8.00 per hour, full price, but  you are not obligated to 10 weeks of league during the summer if your schedule doesn't permit.
                Our summer 420/300 League is a scratch league with no handicap. You may shoot either a single blue face or a five spot target, as described above, your choice.
                Make-Ups need not be scheduled in advance because this is not a trophy league. The only time you can't do a make-up is when it would interfere with another league or event going on at Creekwood.
