PUMPKIN SHOOT 2009

We have a pumpkin shoot every year which kicks
off our program for kids.

October is the PUMPKIN SHOOT.

November is the TURKEY SHOOT

December is our CHRISTMAS TREE SHOOT.

At our PUMPKIN SHOOT, kids have a blast shooting
moving targets.

This year was no exception. Kids shot two moving
witches, a moving ghost and a moving pumpkin.

A skunk (peppy la pew), a poison frog and a red fox
were among other critters also ventilated.

Parents were a big help this year - Thank you!

We have cider & donuts, roasted pumpkin seeds,
cookies and of course candy corn.

We had some real good shooters and we
had kids shooting our bows and everyone had a
great time.

We had a new team game this year, called, throw
a pumpkin in a pumpkin, which was harder than
it looked.

This is not a girl feeding a camo dog.

An event like this works best when you can plan
ahead for how many kids are coming.

For the last couple years we have not gotten a
good handle how many kids are coming in advance,
so it has turned into a last minute scramble to
get everything ready.

But like Marcia said, "We always seem to make it a
success."

Below, are the proud archers of the 2009 PUMPKIN
SHOOT.

You are probably looking at the face of a TURKEY
SHOOT winner, if history repeats itself.
