Well on opening day we had a good start. Two bucks in already and one of them is going to be hard to beat. My predictions for this year because of all the vegetation is this could be not just a good one, but one that will be remembered for a long time. The bucks I have been shown on trail cameras are exceptional. Now all the customers have to do is bring them in. Everyone has been complaining about the amount of trimming they have to do around their stands. Food this year is not a problem for the deer. The big buck today was 184 pounds and had 171 1/8 inches of bone. Because of split G2's the Net was 154 5/8 green score and that's going to take a special deer to beat it. Last year we didn't have a buck over 200 pounds, but this year I think we will. We are extremely busy at the shop with customers getting there deer scent, or fixing what broke already and last but not least still getting a new bow. On the second day I weighed a buck which was the 3rd heaviest buck in 19 seasons. 284 pounds live weight and 224 pounds field dressed. Many of you in the contest have heard me say over the years, "I am so blessed to have this business this time of year, when I get to put my hands on some real class animals". It's cool to be able to be excited, share other peoples stories even when you haven't even hunted yet. I haven't hunted in two years, but this year I plan to, be the good lord willin'.

If your interested, here are my political views read on. If your not interested,
like I say below, you deserve what you get and have, and don't read them.
47% of the people in this country do not pay taxes and probably voted for
Obama, because life works for them just fine. Of the 53% majority left, only
65% of them vote because the other 35% of them don't vote because politics
has them upset for one reason or another. YOU DO THE MATH! We all know
the definition of insanity is not changing anything and expecting a different
result. The average family income is down OVER $4800.00 from two years ago.
If that doesn't get your attention, then you deserve what you get. What
matters, the only thing that matters is we need a change. Who knows what,
who did what, who said what, who promised what, doesn't matter, WE NEED
A CHANGE, and if we don't get it, well it's not like me to say, but, LIFE WILL
NOT BE AS GOOD IN 2015 ! Four days before the election I had a typical
non-voter in the shop and I kind of got in his face. He said he never voted
unless the person he wanted was running. I said who do you want? He said
Ron Paul, but he's so pissed off at politics in general he is not going to go
write in Ron Paul's name. I don't get it. He sure had a whole bunch of opinions
for a person that doesn't vote.
